Dr. Samantha Jordan is a licensed psychologist. She came to AAPA in September 2011 where she completed her post-doctoral training requirements under the supervision of Gary Dudley, Ph.D. She completed her pre-doctoral internship at Psychological and Counseling Associates, a private practice in Huntsville, Alabama. While completing her post-doctoral fellowship at AAPA, she served as the psychometrist for the practice.
Dr. Jordan is a graduate of the Clinical Psychology program at the Georgia School of Professional Psychology at Argosy University located in Atlanta, Georgia, where her academic concentration was in Clinical Neuropsychology. She has extensive experience in psychological assessment and therapy with children, adolescents, and adults with a variety of presenting circumstances. These include ADHD, mood and anxiety disorders, thought disorders, traumatic brain injury, bereavement, relationship issues, and various life adjustment concerns. She has trained at Shepherd Center and Grady Hospital’s Auburn Renaissance Center in Atlanta, Georgia and Clayton Center Behavioral Health Services in Jonesboro, Georgia.
Dr. Jordan works with children, adolescents, and individual adults. As a therapist, she utilizes techniques from cognitive and cognitive-behavioral theories. Her warm and calming demeanor has served her well in establishing and maintaining rapport with her clients as well as furthering treatment progress.
Dr. Jordan’s areas of interest include psychological and neuropsychological assessment, increasing compliance with mental health/physical health treatment regimens, thought disorders, self-esteem, depression, anxiety, social skills training, and stress management.
