Christy Rahn, Psy. D.

Dr. Christy Rahn is currently completing her post-doctoral requirements under the supervision of Gary Dudley, Ph.D. She came to AAPA in December 2008 after completing her pre-doctoral internship at the Robert Murney Clinic in Springfield, Missouri. Dr. Rahn is a graduate of the Clinical Psychology program at Azusa Pacific University located in Azusa, California. During her graduate training at Azusa Pacific, Dr. Rahn provided psychotherapy to children, adolescents, and families in community counseling centers and schools. She also provided assessment services to children, adolescents, and adults in a large county mental health clinic. During her internship at the Robert Murney Clinic, Dr. Rahn specialized in psychotherapy and assessment with a child and adolescent population.

Dr. Rahn currently serves as a Psychometrist for the licensed psychologists at AAPA. She is also able to see self-pay clients in psychotherapy. Dr. Rahn primarily works with children and adolescents, but she does see individual adults, as well. In therapy, Dr. Rahn works from a relational/interpersonal psychodynamic perspective, and based on the unique and individual needs of her clients, she also uses techniques from behavioral and cognitive-behavioral theories.

Dr. Rahn's areas of interest include depression, anxiety, grief and loss, assessment and treatment of adhd and other behavioral disorders, and the integration of faith and psychotherapy.
