Brad Hieger, Ph. D.

Dr. Brad Hieger takes an active, solution-oriented approach to counseling and therapy and believes that the best therapy is one that fits the personal needs of each client. The basic guiding question is always "How do we construct a unique therapy that works for you?" Brad has extensively practiced brief therapy and is accustomed to seeing significant, noticeable changes in clients' lives in short periods of time.

For over 10 years Brad has held the roles of counselor, supervisor, professor, and psychometrist. He has had clinical positions in college counseling centers, psychiatric hospitals, drug and alcohol centers, career counseling centers, community mental health centers, and private practices. In addition to his professional practice, Brad has taught undergraduate and graduate psychology classes at The Pennsylvania State University, Illinois State University, Argosy University, Shorter College, and Kennesaw State University.

At Atlanta Area Psychological Associates Brad provides individual, couple, family, and group therapies. He also administers psychological testing. Fees are assessed on a sliding scale basis.

Brad earned his M.A. at Ball State University with a double major in Counseling and Social Psychology and his Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology at The Pennsylvania State University. He can be contacted at bhieger7@bellsouth.net.
