Dr. Monique Gray was born in Jamaica, New York. She received her B.A. in Psychology from Oberlin College. Following graduation, she moved to Atlanta, GA, where she later received her M.A. in Psychology at Georgia State University. She went on to receive her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology at Georgia State University.
She has extensive training and experience in psychological testing, group and individual psychotherapy. Her doctoral dissertation examined the experience of parental role strain among incarcerated mothers.
During her training experiences, she developed a strong interest in stress management, especially as it relates to women. She has conducted workshops at Grady Memorial Hospital in Atlanta, on stress management for working women, and has led workshops on stress management for medical and surgical emergency personnel. She has co-led several women’s psychotherapy groups.
Dr. Gray has worked with many people with a wide range of problems, including severe and disabling psychotic symptoms, depression and obsessive-compulsive disorder, children’s behavioral problems, adolescent issues including school and behavioral problems, relationship and family counseling.
